I originally bought this van as a project with my fiance, a couple years ago, and then he passed away in an accident. I kept it for sentimental reasons, and have just about completed it, the only work that is left to do to it is mostly cosmetic and smaller things. Unfortunately, I am just out of funds to keep putting into it and am unable to keep it, and need the funds more.
It has a solid 292 inline straight 6 cylinder motor, with split headers. A new single barrel Rochester carb, a new starter, new alternator, new battery, a new 3 speed manual transmission. It has been converted from the tree to the floor with a Hurst shifter rat rod style. Has side pipes. I have done the majority of the work to her myself and with help of mechanically inclined friends. She runs and drives good. The only thing I have yet to get to is putting in a new thermostat, which I do have, just havent gotten around to. She isnt wanting to stay idling, Im guessing it is a vaccuum line leak, which isnt a hard fix.
I did the brakes about a year ago. Including new brake lines. All the original gauges work. Has a stereo system.
I welded a small fully functioning woodstove in the rear, and have firewood that has been cut to fit it. It is pretty rad. I made wooden cubby/shelves out of a wooden wine rack, that are also really cool. I have welded tie down hooks in the floor for hauling motorcycles. Has two front seats and a futon in the back with garage/shop flooring currently. Needs insulation finished and then can really paint and design the interior to your liking. I was planning on making it a camper sort of hot rod van.
Im asking for $3500obo, which Ill be taking a loss with what I paid and have invested in it. Life happens and at this point I am just hoping that she will go to someone that appreciates what it is and will finish her and enjoy her.
